This past year has been an amazing year for Lake Engineering Solutions. We have seen tremendous growth, achieved incredible milestones, and developed innovative solutions to complex corrosion challenges. From attending the Cortec World Sales meeting in Minnesota to the growth of our customer base and the increased recognition of our brand, this past year has been one of tremendous success. In this blog post, we will reflect on the journey that has been 2022 and look ahead to a bright future for Lake Engineering Solutions.

Cortec World Meeting

In July Lake Engineering Solutions had the pleasure to attend the Cortec Corporation 2022 World Sales Meeting in Minnesota after a 3 year absence due to COVID.

Dean Kenny showcased 3 presentations about UK activity to the Cortec global family.

As always, it was a great time to connect with fellow Cortec® representatives, share experiences, build knowledge, be inspired, and simply enjoy the privilege of being together. The team look forward to the next Cortec gathering to share technical knowledge, in a fun relaxed environment!

Envirorinse Video

Back in August we released the full video explaining the benefits of Envirorinse.

Unlike traditional rust preventative oils, EnviroRinse™ protects against corrosion without leaving any residues. This means that there is no tough cleaning to remove oils, no quality risks, and no loss of time.

EnviroRinse™ leaves a dry uniform film on the surface of the metal that is virtually undetectable and easily removed if necessary using a weak acid or alkaline solution. A water-based, bio-based, and biodegradable rust preventative that gives up to two years corrosion protection of most metals in storage and during transportation.

If you didn’t catch the video on our LinkedIn page, we’ve linked it below!

Power Magazine

We had the privilege of Power magazine writing an article on VCI technology being using in Humber Power Station, who we’ve been working with since 2009!

A key problem many power stations face is the corrosion of Heat Recovery Steam Generators. South Humber Power Station began using VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) technology to protect their machinery, provided by us. Want to find out more about our VCI technology in action? Read about it in POWER magazine‘s article “How to Defeat Dew Point Corrosion in Heat Recovery Steam Generators.”

Some of our other highlights from 2022 included…
  • Exhibiting at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2022 – watch Deans recap of the event here
  • Exhibiting at SMMT 2022
  • Becoming members of the Surface Engineering Association (SEA)
  • Installation of our new Corrosion Testing Chamber
Thank you to all our customers and suppliers in 2022! We can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store for us.
Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year
Lake Engineering Solutions
